MICRODECO

PPAP WRITER FOR PARTS HOMOLOGATION
June 2018 - November 2018

In my first engineering role at Microdeco S.A., I was a part of the quality team within the automotive sector. I was responsible for the homologation and approval of customized components according to client specifications and drawings. My tasks included conducting thorough quality control activities such as visual inspections and precise measurements using conventional tools and a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).

After completing these inspections, I prepared and submitted PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation, detailing the approval process of each component. This included organizing all required sections and ensuring compliance with industry standards. My role also involved maintaining direct communication with clients to resolve issues and clarify any questions they had during the approval process.

This experience sharpened my skills in quality control, metrology, and documentation. Additionally, I developed key abilities in client communication, teamwork, and problem-solving within a high-paced production environment.

Key Contributions:

  • Set a record for parts approval in a single month by implementing a new working method, significantly increasing efficiency in the homologation process.
  • Developed and submitted PPAP documentation for various customized automotive components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborated with clients to resolve quality control issues and successfully guided them through the approval process, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
