AEROSPACE MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
November 2019 - January 2022
During my time at SENER Aeroespacial, I worked as a Mechanism Design Engineer in the aerospace sector for over two years. My responsibilities included the 3D design and preliminary structural analysis of aerospace components using CATIA V5, performing linear, modal, and buckling studies. I was also in charge of producing detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly guides, and design reports for the components.
In addition to the design phase, I actively participated in the assembly of the mechanisms I developed and supported prototype validation tests, ensuring that the designs met performance and quality standards. This hands-on experience helped me to further refine my technical skills in mechanism design, structural analysis, and the creation of technical documentation for aerospace applications.
A crucial part of my role involved the design of fluid transfer mechanisms, particularly for the resource transfer umbilical system, which is showcased in the embedded video above. The video, provided courtesy of SENER Aeroespacial, highlights several mechanisms, from large systems like the gateway to more intricate designs like the fluid transfer mechanism, to which I contributed directly.
This role not only enhanced my expertise in the aerospace industry but also required a high degree of precision, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the entire design and manufacturing process, from concept to testing and validation.
